Our thoughts are turning to Christmas crafting this month.
Yes, yes I know, but it’ll be here before we know it!
For our meeting on Monday 20th October, we’ll have four exciting Christmas crafts for you to try. There will be buttons, felt, paper and clay to play with and you can move between tables or concentrate on learning one new technique.
We will be providing all the materials you need but if you have them, you’ll find it useful to bring the following tools:
- A small stapler
- A pen, pencil or tailors chalk
As always, visitors are welcome (it’s £5 for guests) but if you’re not already a member, October is an excellent time to join because you’ll get 3 free months. The 2015 membership rate is £36 and paying now will take you up to January 2016. Doors open at 7pm and the meeting starts at 7.30 but if you are planning to join this month please come along a little earlier to do the paperwork.
Other things that are happening this month
We’re currently knitting and crocheting hats and scarves for our charity, SmartMove. Easy patterns can be found on our Facebook group or on Ravelry.
The next Walking Group Meeting is on Sunday 19th October. Meet at 11am at the upper car park at Hardcastle Craggs, Hebden Bridge. This will mostly be a gentle walk through the woods but with one slightly step bit. Lifts are being organised on the Facebook group.
Book group is on Monday 27th October at 7.30pm in the Old Gate pub.
