Hi everyone,
I know this time of year is hectic but I hope you’ll find the time to come along to our Christmas party on Monday 21st December. As usual, we’re in the Waterfront Hall in Hebden Bridge Town Hall, doors open around 7pm for a 7.30pm start and guests are welcome to attend for £3.
We’ll provide the drink but as it’s a party, please bring food to share and please label your contribution if it contains any allergens like nuts, gluten or dairy. There will also be a quiz and activities, so it should be a fun, social and informal evening.
IMPORTANT NOTES
If you are a member, please bring along the resolution voting slip from your WI Life magazine because we will be voting on next year’s resolutions at this month’s meeting.
Don’t worry if you’ve already recycled the magazine, I believe we’re going to have extra voting slips available. [And if you’re not a member, really don’t worry about it because you’re not allowed to vote!]
The annual WI subscriptions are due in January but if you’d like to pay now and miss next month’s rush, our treasurer Ruth will be accepting payment from this month. We can’t take cards, so cheque or cash only please.
The subscription is increasing slightly to £37.50 but still offers incredible value; we have a fantastic programme lined up for next year, plus plenty of extra activities and of course, our annual educational bursary. The committee hopes that all the existing and previous members will rejoin (but no hard feelings if you don’t!) and that you’ll take the plunge if you’ve been thinking about joining as a new member.
ADVANCE WARNING
January literally starts with a bang – we’ll be drumming with Todmorden Frame Drum Group on 18th January 2016.
Please note, the fee for guests is also increasing in January. It’s going up from £3 to £4 – we can’t have guests attending for less than members pay.
OK, I think that’s it. If I don’t see you on Monday, I hope you have a delightful holiday season and I’ll see you in the New Year.
Best Wishes
Kirsty Hall
