Hi everyone,
Well that was some Christmas ‘holiday’, wasn’t it! Not quite what any of us had planned but I’m so proud of the way HBWI members pulled together and worked hard to help themselves and others. You’re all amazing!
I hope you’re all recovering from the flood. Please take good care of yourself, it’s been a shocking old time and I know many of us are still reeling, especially those members whose businesses were unfortunately affected. Naturally HBWI will be looking at ways we can continue to support flooded members and the wider community as we all move forwards with the recovery phase.
In the meantime, this month’s WI meeting is on Monday 18th January and we’ll be making lots of noise with the Todmorden Frame Drum Group. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
The annual subscriptions are due this month. It’s £37.50 and cheques are preferred as they make it easier for our Treasurer, Ruth, to track payments. Please make cheques out to Hebden Bridge WI. Visitors are also welcome for the slightly increased price of £4.
There will be no book group this month because of the floods but it will be back next month.
ADVANCE NOTICE
Next month’s meeting is on Monday 15th February and we’ll be exploring forensic science with Think Forensic.
I hope to see you on Monday…
Kirsty Hall
HBWI President
