Guided by local artist and experienced teacher, Julia Ogden, we’ll be learning how to use pastels and stencils to create beautiful bird postcards. Don’t worry if you haven’t ‘done’ art since school days – you’ll be surprised at the lovely picture you’ll be able to create.

Join us for a joyful and uplifting evening of Circle Dance, guided by Sophia Hatch. Circle dancing brings people together through simple, flowing movement from many traditions, accompanied by beautiful music. No experience needed – and if you feel like you have two left feet, take heart! Sophia believes that everyone is a dancer. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and soft, flat shoes (or go barefoot).

Yorkshire Blood Bikes volunteers will be telling us about the vital, out of hours, service they provide in transporting blood, tissue samples, plasma and other crucial supplies between hospitals, hospices and supply centres. Not only do they make a real difference to patient outcomes but also save the NHS considerable amounts of money, which can then be spent on front-line services. Who knows – anyone of us may have cause to be thankful for their dedication at some time in our lives.

If you have an interest or skill which you think would be of interest to our members and you’d like to share it, please contact Sandra McNeill, our Programme Secretary.
